The Union County Panthers basketball squad (Blairsville, GA), was nudged 85-79 in Friday's league battle with the host Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors (Fort Oglethorpe, GA)

With the victory, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe advances its record to 12-6 on the year. The Warriors travel to Sonoraville (Calhoun, GA) to meet the Phoenix in a AA Region 7 battle on Tuesday, January 21. The Phoenix enter the battle with a record of 8-11. Sonoraville won 62-58 in their recent league battle against Coahulla Creek (Dalton, GA)

The Panthers now own a 16-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Coahulla Creek for a AA Region 7 battle on Tuesday, January 21. Union County will meet a Colts squad coming off a 62-58 league loss to Sonoraville (Calhoun, GA). The Colts record now stands at 12-7.
