In Friday's league test, the Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) basketball squad knocked off the host North Stanly Comets (New London, NC), by a score of 66-57.

Next, the Tigers encounter the West Rowan Falcons (Mt. Ulla, NC) in a non-league test, on Monday, January 20. Mount Pleasant will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record.

The Comets (14-2) will now prepare for their test against Anson (Wadesboro, NC). The Bearcats come into the non-league test with a 12-5 record. In their last test, Anson beat Forest Hills (Marshville, NC), 63-58, in a league test.
