Texas High School Basketball - The Colony bests Wakeland

The The Colony Cougars basketball team scored 59 points and limited the visiting Wakeland Wolverines to 47 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now possess a 17-10 record. They play next when they travel to Reedy for a 5A Region II District 12 game on Tuesday, January 21. The Colony will play a Lions team coming off a 71-66 league win over Creekview (Carrollton, TX). The Lions record now stands at 9-17.

With the loss, Wakeland falls to 17-9 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Newman Smith (Carrollton, TX) to play the Trojans in a 5A Region II District 12 game on Tuesday, January 21. The Trojans go into the game with a record of 6-16. Newman Smith won 73-46 in their recent league game against Turner (Carrollton, TX)
