Oregon High School Basketball - Seaside thwarts Astoria

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Seaside Seagulls (Seaside, OR) and the visiting Astoria Fishermen (Astoria, OR), observed Seaside's basketball team knock off Astoria by a score of 51-43.
The Seagulls (6-6) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Helens (St. Helens, OR). The Lions come into the 4A Cowapa challenge with a 10-2 record. In their last challenge, St. Helens prevailed over Scappoose (Scappoose, OR), 44-29, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Fishermen encounter the Scappoose Indians (Scappoose, OR) in a 4A Cowapa challenge, on Wednesday, January 22. Astoria will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record.
