The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Astoria Fishermen (Astoria, OR) and the visiting Seaside Seagulls (Seaside, OR), observed Astoria's basketball team edge Seaside by a score of 46-40.

The Fishermen (9-7) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Helens (St. Helens, OR). The Lions come into the 4A Cowapa challenge with a 13-4 record. In their last challenge, St. Helens edged Seaside (Seaside, OR), 56-23, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Seagulls battle the Tillamook Cheesemakers (Tillamook, OR) in a 4A Cowapa challenge, on Saturday, February 8. Seaside will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record.
