The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Carl Albert Titans (Midwest City, OK) and the host Elgin Owls (Elgin, OK), observed Carl Albert's basketball team overwhelm Elgin by a score of 72-48.

The Titans (13-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Southeast (Oklahoma City, OK). The Spartans come into the 5A District 1 challenge with a 5-6 record. In their last challenge, Southeast was routed by Noble (Noble, OK), 69-23, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Owls battle the El Reno Indians (El Reno, OK) in a 5A District 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Elgin will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 11-0 record after their 76-3 league win over Santa Fe South (Oklahoma City, OK).
