The La Porte Bulldogs basketball team scored 67 points and limited the host Texas City Stingarees to 40 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Bulldogs now have a 23-9 record. They play next when they host Ball for a 5A Region III District 20 game on Tuesday, January 21. La Porte will confront a Tornadoes team coming off a 57-55 league loss to Iowa Colony (Iowa Colony, TX). The Tornadoes record now stands at 9-11.

With the loss, Texas City falls to 4-19 on the campaign. The Stingarees travel to Friendswood (Friendswood, TX) to confront the Mustangs in a 5A Region III District 20 game on Tuesday, January 21. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 19-11. Friendswood won 30-18 in their recent league game against La Porte (La Porte, TX)
