In Friday's league contest, the visiting McMinn Central Chargers basketball team scored a big 61-35 win over the Polk County Wildcats.
The Chargers (14-1) will now prepare for their contest against William Blount (Maryville, TN). The Governors come into the non-league contest with a 3-17 record. In their last contest, William Blount was trounced by Maryville (Maryville, TN), 46-42, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Hiwassee Dam Eagles (Murphy, NC) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, January 22. Polk County will attempt to better on its 6-8 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 11-3 record after their 84-42 non-league loss to Cherokee (Cherokee, NC).
