In Friday's league contest, the host McMinn Central Chargers basketball team scored a big 83-26 triumph over the Polk County Wildcats.
The Chargers (22-1) will now prepare for their contest against Walker Valley (Cleveland, TN). The Mustangs go into the non-league contest with a 5-18 record.
In their next game, the Wildcats confront the Sweetwater Wildcats (Sweetwater, TN) in a 2A District 3 contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Polk County will attempt to better on its 8-13 season record. The Wildcats go into the contest with a 8-15 record after their 60-50 league loss to Tellico Plains (Tellico Plains, TN).
