The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Palacios Sharks (Palacios, TX) and the visiting Rice Consolidated Raiders (Altair, TX), observed Palacios's basketball team overwhelm Rice Consolidated by a score of 45-23.

The Sharks (15-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Yoakum (Yoakum, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 3A Region IV District 25 challenge with a 8-17 record. In their last challenge, Yoakum was routed by Hallettsville (Hallettsville, TX), 52-38, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Raiders encounter the Industrial Cobras (Vanderbilt, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 25 challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Rice Consolidated will attempt to improve on its 1-22 season record. The Cobras come into the challenge with a 18-13 record after their 43-33 league loss to Columbus (Columbus, TX).
