In Friday's league contest, the visiting Palacios Sharks basketball team scored a big 59-22 triumph over the Rice Consolidated Raiders.

The Sharks (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Yoakum (Yoakum, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 3A Region IV District 25 contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, Yoakum was trounced by Hallettsville (Hallettsville, TX), 38-34, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Raiders confront the Industrial Cobras (Vanderbilt, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 25 contest, on Tuesday, December 17. Rice Consolidated will attempt to better on its 1-11 season record. The Cobras go into the contest with a 13-6 record after their 39-21 league win over Columbus (Columbus, TX).
