The Eagles (5-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC). The Cougars come into the 1A Carolina challenge with a 15-5 record. In their last challenge, Neuse Charter edged Hobbton (Newton Grove, NC), 72-8, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the North Duplin Rebels (Calypso, NC) in a 1A Carolina challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Union will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 12-3 record after their 50-41 league win over Lakewood (Roseboro, NC).
