The Monta Vista Matadors (Cupertino, CA) basketball were winner over the host Homestead Mustangs (Cupertino, CA), 51-41 in Friday's league bout.
The Matadors now possess a 11-2 record. They play next when they host Cupertino for a bout on Wednesday, January 22. Monta Vista will play a Pioneers team coming off a 35-22 league loss to Lynbrook (San Jose, CA). The Pioneers record now stands at 0-8.
With the loss, Homestead falls to 11-4 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Fremont (Sunnyvale, CA) to play the Firebirds in a bout on Wednesday, January 22. The Firebirds go into the bout with a record of 4-7.
