Fans at Friday's league battle between the Stone Tomcats (Wiggins, MS) and the host Wayne County War Eagles (Waynesboro, MS), saw Stone's soccer squad triumph over Wayne County by a score of 6-0.

The Tomcats (10-7) will now prepare for their battle against Laurel (Laurel, MS). The Golden Tornadoes enter the 5A Region 4 battle with a 9-11 record. In their last battle, Laurel was overwhelmed by Vancleave (Vancleave, MS), 4-2, in a league battle.

Next up, the War Eagles confront the Greene County Wildcats (Leakesville, MS) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, January 18. Wayne County will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record.
