In Friday's league outing, the host Stone Tomcats soccer squad scored a tight 3-0 victory over the Wayne County War Eagles.
The Tomcats (7-5) will now prepare for their outing against Laurel (Laurel, MS). The Golden Tornadoes go into the 5A Region 4 outing with a 9-8 record.
Next up, the War Eagles play the Gautier Gators (Gautier, MS) in a 5A Region 4 outing, on Tuesday, December 17. Wayne County will attempt to improve on its 8-3 season record. The Gators go into the outing with a 8-2 record after their 2-0 league loss to East Central (Moss Point, MS).
