The Grossmont Foothillers basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Monte Vista Monarchs to 43 in the Foothillers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Foothillers now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Academy of Our Lady of Peace for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 19. Grossmont will battle a Pilots team coming off a 73-30 league loss to Cathedral Catholic (San Diego, CA). The Pilots record now stands at 5-10.

The Monarchs (9-11) will now prepare for their contest against El Capitan (Lakeside, CA). The Vaqueros enter the Grossmont - Hills contest with a 5-13 record.
