Everest Collegiate (Clarkston, MI) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Cardinal Mooney Catholic Cardinals (Marine City, MI), 61-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Everest Collegiate upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The travel to Lutheran North (Macomb, MI) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Lutheran North won 64-62 in their recent non-league bout against University Liggett (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Hackett Catholic Prep Fighting Irish (Kalamazoo, MI) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. Cardinal Mooney Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record.
