Cardinal Mooney Catholic Cardinals (Marine City, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Everest Collegiate (Clarkston, MI), 52-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Cardinal Mooney Catholic upgrades its record to 8-8 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Cranbrook Kingswood (Bloomfield Hills, MI) to clash with the Cranes in a Catholic Intersectional I bout on Friday, February 10. The Cranes go into the bout with a record of 4-11. Cranbrook Kingswood lost 72-27 in their recent league bout against Loyola (Detroit, MI)

Next up, the clash with the Lutheran North Mustangs (Macomb, MI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 9. Everest Collegiate will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 11-3 record after their 44-39 non-league win over University Liggett (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI).
