King Panthers (Houston, TX) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Humble Wildcats (Humble, TX), 61-47 in a league bout.

With the win, King upgrades its record to 6-15 on the season. The Panthers travel to North Shore (Houston, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 6A Region III District 21 bout on Saturday, January 21. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 11-13. North Shore lost 67-58 in their recent league bout against Beaumont United (Beaumont, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Summer Creek Bulldogs (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region III District 21 bout, on Saturday, January 21. Humble will attempt to upgrade on its 6-19 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 19-7 record after their 50-48 league loss to West Brook (Beaumont, TX).
