The Minneapolis Southwest Lakers (Minneapolis, MN) basketball nipped the visiting North Community Polars (Minneapolis, MN), 89-85 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Lakers (11-2) will now prepare for their test against Washburn (Minneapolis, MN). The Millers go into the AAAA Section 6 test with a 5-10 record. In their last test, Washburn was tipped by Edison (Minneapolis, MN), 78-61, in a non-league test.
The Polars now own a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Onalaska for a non-league test on Saturday, January 21. North Community will encounter a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 48-46 league win over La Crosse Central (La Crosse, WI). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 8-3.
