Midland Valley Mustangs (Graniteville, SC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting South Aiken Thoroughbreds (Aiken, SC), 50-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Midland Valley upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Mustangs host North Augusta (North Augusta, SC) to play the Yellow Jackets in a bout on Thursday, January 19. The Yellow Jackets go into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Thoroughbreds play the Aiken Fighting Green Hornets (Aiken, SC) in a bout, on Thursday, January 19. South Aiken will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Fighting Green Hornets go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 46-45 league loss to Midland Valley (Graniteville, SC).
