South Aiken Thoroughbreds (Aiken, SC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Midland Valley Mustangs (Graniteville, SC), 48-46 in a league bout.

With the win, South Aiken upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Thoroughbreds host Aiken (Aiken, SC) to play the Fighting Green Hornets in a bout on Monday, February 6. The Fighting Green Hornets go into the bout with a record of 2-1.

Next up, the Mustangs play the North Augusta Yellow Jackets (North Augusta, SC) in a bout, on Monday, February 6. Midland Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Yellow Jackets go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 53-31 league loss to Aiken (Aiken, SC).
