The Appomattox County Raiders routed the host Randolph-Henry Statesmen basketball team by a final score of 60-38 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Raiders face the Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA) in a Dogwood game, on Friday, January 19. Appomattox County will attempt to move on its 3-6 season record. The Wildcats enter the game with a 6-7 record after their 71-65 league win over Chatham (Chatham, VA).

With the defeat, Randolph-Henry moves to 4-6 on the year. The Statesmen travel to Nottoway (Nottoway, VA) to face the Cougars in a James River game on Monday, January 22. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 3-7. Nottoway won 55-39 in their recent league game against Cumberland (Cumberland, VA)
