Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Radford Bobcats (Radford, VA), 62-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Carroll County upgrades its record to 14-1 on the season. The Cavaliers host Galax (Galax, VA) to clash with the Maroon Tide in a non-league bout on Friday, January 19. The Maroon Tide go into the bout with a record of 4-7. Galax won 57-54 in their recent league bout against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA)

Next up, the Bobcats clash with the Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA) in a Three Rivers bout, on Saturday, January 20. Radford will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 11-3 record after their 68-32 league win over Patrick County (Stuart, VA).
