The Corona/Vaughn Cardinals basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Lake Arthur Panthers to 41 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Cardinals now sport a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alamo Navajo for a A District 3 contest on Friday, January 19. Corona/Vaughn will meet a Cougars team coming off a 72-14 league win over Carrizozo (Carrizozo, NM). The Cougars record now stands at 10-6.
The Panthers (0-4) will now prepare for their contest against Corona (Corona, NM). The Cardinals enter the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
