The Corona/Vaughn Cardinals basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Lake Arthur Panthers to 29 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Cardinals now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hondo Valley for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 25. Corona/Vaughn will meet a Eagles team coming off a 55-36 non-league loss to Floyd (Floyd, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 3-8.
The Panthers (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Dora (Dora, NM). The Coyotes enter the non-league contest with a 8-6 record. In their last contest, Dora triumphed over Tatum (Tatum, NM), 46-34, in a non-league contest.
