California High School Basketball - Fremont can't hold off Homestead

The Homestead Mustangs basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the host Fremont Firebirds to 52 in the Mustangs league victory on Thursday.
The Mustangs now sport a 6-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Monta Vista for a Santa Clara Valley - El Camino contest on Saturday, January 20. Homestead will battle a Matadors team coming off a 52-50 league loss to Saratoga (Saratoga, CA). The Matadors record now stands at 10-7.
The Firebirds (13-4) will now prepare for their contest against Monta Vista (Cupertino, CA). The Matadors come into the Santa Clara Valley - El Camino contest with a 10-8 record.
