In Thursday's league outing, the North Lamar Panthers (Paris, TX) basketball squad beat the host Pittsburg Pirates (Pittsburg, TX), by a count of 42-27.
The Panthers (5-13) will now prepare for their outing against Sulphur Springs (Sulphur Springs, TX). The Wildcats go into the 4A Region II District 15 outing with a 10-15 record. In their last outing, Sulphur Springs defeated Liberty-Eylau (Texarkana, TX), 45-30, in a league outing.
The Pirates now hold a 6-17 record. They play next when they travel to Pleasant Grove for a 4A Region II District 15 outing on Friday, January 19.
