In Thursday's non-league outing, the Mountain Lakes Lakers (Mountain Lakes, NJ) basketball squad felled the visiting Academy of St. Elizabeth Panthers (Convent Station, NJ), by a margin of 51-31.

The Lakers (7-4) will now prepare for their outing against Parsippany Hills (Parsippany, NJ). The Vikings go into the non-league outing with a 4-7 record. In their last outing, Parsippany Hills was beaten by Pequannock (Pompton Plains, NJ), 48-38, in a non-league outing.

The Panthers now own a 8-5 record. They play next when they travel to Hanover Park for a Northwest Jersey - Independence outing on Saturday, January 20.
