Illinois High School Basketball - Bureau Valley nudges Newman Central Catholic

In Thursday's league outing, the Bureau Valley Storm (Manlius, IL) basketball squad edged the visiting Newman Central Catholic Comets (Sterling, IL), by a count of 58-55.

The Storm (12-10) will now prepare for their outing against Princeton (Princeton, IL). The Tigers go into the Three Rivers - East outing with a 14-6 record.

The Comets now hold a 10-13 record. They play next when they host Mendota for a Three Rivers - East outing on Monday, January 22. Newman Central Catholic will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 51-21 league loss to Hall (Spring Valley, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 4-18.
