California High School Basketball - Sunnyside can't hold off Hoover

The Hoover Patriots basketball team scored 40 points and held the host Sunnyside Wildcats to 38 in the Patriots league triumph on Thursday.

The Patriots now sport a 8-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host McLane for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 20. Hoover will battle a Highlanders team coming off a 55-39 non-league loss to Roosevelt (Fresno, CA). The Highlanders record now stands at 8-11.

The Wildcats (7-13) will now prepare for their contest against Sanger West (Fresno, CA). The Hornets enter the North Yosemite contest with a 6-14 record. In their last contest, Sanger West was nudged by Torres (Madera, CA), 45-32, in a league contest.
