The Jefferson County North Chargers basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Jackson Heights Cobras to 43 in the Chargers league triumph on Thursday.

The Chargers now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Atchison for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 23. Jefferson County North will meet a Phoenix team coming off a 47-39 non-league win over Jefferson West (Meriden, KS). The Phoenix record now stands at 4-3.

The Cobras (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Marysville (Marysville, KS). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Marysville was outscored by Nemaha Central (Seneca, KS), 51-30, in a non-league contest.
