Langley Saxons (McLean, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA), 57-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Langley upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Saxons host Yorktown (Arlington, VA) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Monday, January 22. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 3-7. Yorktown lost 47-45 in their recent non-league bout against George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA)

Next up, the Hornets play the McLean Highlanders (McLean, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 25. Herndon will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Highlanders go into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 50-47 non-league win over Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA).
