The Langley Saxons (McLean, VA) basketball felled the visiting Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA), 61-47 in Monday's non-league test.
The Saxons (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Yorktown (Arlington, VA). The Patriots go into the non-league test with a 3-5 record. In their last test, Yorktown thwarted George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA), 57-34, in a non-league test.
The Hornets now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to McLean for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 3. Herndon will encounter a Highlanders squad coming off a 60-52 non-league win over Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA). The Highlanders record now stands at 1-1.
