The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Dalton Catamounts (Dalton, GA) and the visiting Calhoun Yellow Jackets (Calhoun, GA), observed Dalton's basketball team overwhelm Calhoun by a score of 55-32.

The Catamounts (16-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Southeast Whitfield County (Dalton, GA). The Raiders come into the AAAA Region 7 challenge with a 3-10 record. In their last challenge, Southeast Whitfield County was routed by Northwest Whitfield (Tunnel Hill, GA), 76-28, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Yellow Jackets encounter the LaFayette Ramblers (LaFayette, GA) in a AAA Region 7 challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Calhoun will attempt to improve on its 10-6 season record. The Ramblers come into the challenge with a 13-6 record after their 61-26 non-league win over Marion County (Jasper, TN).
