The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the South Whidbey Falcons (Langley, WA) and the visiting Overlake Owls (Redmond, WA), observed South Whidbey's basketball team edge Overlake by a score of 40-33.

The Falcons (5-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Northwest (Seattle, WA). The House come into the 1A Emerald Sound challenge with a 3-6 record. In their last challenge, Northwest was tipped by Granite Falls (Granite Falls, WA), 67-42, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Owls encounter the University Prep Pumas (Seattle, WA) in a 1A Emerald Sound challenge, on Friday, January 24. Overlake will attempt to improve on its 0-12 season record. The Pumas come into the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 30-28 league win over Bear Creek (Redmond, WA).
