California High School Basketball - Awaken Christian topped by Needles

The Needles Mustangs basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the visiting Awaken Christian Lions to 51 in the Mustangs league victory on Thursday.

The Mustangs now sport a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Laughlin for a 2A Southern contest on Tuesday, January 24. Needles will battle a Cougars team coming off a 50-31 league loss to Awaken Christian (Las Vegas, NV). The Cougars record now stands at 6-7.

The Lions (1-13) will now prepare for their contest against Laughlin (Laughlin, NV). The Cougars come into the 2A Southern contest with a 6-6 record.
