The Carrizozo Grizzlies basketball team (Carrizozo, NM), was toppled 59-46 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Cloudcroft Bears (Cloudcroft, NM)
The Bears now possess a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Capitan for a 2A District 3 battle on Saturday, January 21. Cloudcroft will confront a Tigers team coming off a 49-40 non-league win over Mountainair (Mountainair, NM). The Tigers record now stands at 6-11.
The Grizzlies (1-16) will now prepare for their battle against Mountainair (Mountainair, NM). The Mustangs come into the A District 3 battle with a 5-10 record. In their last battle, Mountainair was toppled by Capitan (Capitan, NM), 49-40, in a non-league battle.
