North Carolina High School Basketball - Chase topped by Polk County

January 19, 2023: Forest City, NC 28043

The Polk County Wolverines basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the host Chase Trojans to 41 in the Wolverines league victory on Thursday.

The Wolverines now sport a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Patton for a 2A Conference 41 contest on Friday, January 20. Polk County will battle a Panthers team coming off a 65-53 league loss to Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 6-10.

The Trojans (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against East Rutherford (Forest City, NC). The Cavaliers come into the 2A Conference 41 contest with a 6-12 record. In their last contest, East Rutherford was defeated by Brevard (Brevard, NC), 65-44, in a league contest.
