St. Augustine Prep Hermits (Richland, NJ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Middle Township Panthers (Cape May Court House, NJ), 55-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, St. Augustine Prep upgrades its record to 10-1 on the campaign. The Hermits travel to Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, NJ) to play the Ironmen in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Ironmen come into the bout with a record of 14-1. Don Bosco Prep won 53-42 in their recent non-league bout against Teaneck (Teaneck, NJ)

Next up, the Panthers play the Camden Catholic Fighting Irish (Cherry Hill, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Sunday, January 22. Middle Township will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Fighting Irish come into the bout with a 11-1 record after their 50-43 league win over Bishop Eustace Prep (Pennsauken, NJ).
