The Mora Rangers/Rangerettes (Mora, NM) basketball knocked off the host Penasco Panthers (Penasco, NM), 45-35 in Thursday's league test.
The Rangers/Rangerettes (9-7) will now prepare for their test against Questa (Questa, NM). The Wildcats go into the 2A District 5 test with a 2-15 record. In their last test, Questa went down by Escalante (Tierra Amarilla, NM), 59-18, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they host McCurdy for a 2A District 5 test on Saturday, January 21. Penasco will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 46-38 league loss to Mesa Vista (Ojo Caliente, NM). The Bobcats record now stands at 5-11.
