North Carolina High School Basketball - Chase ripped by Polk County

January 19, 2023: Forest City, NC 28043

The Polk County Wolverines basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Chase Trojans to 29 in the Wolverines league triumph on Thursday.

The Wolverines now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Patton for a 2A Conference 41 bout on Friday, January 20. Polk County will play a Panthers squad coming off a 70-27 league loss to Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 2-15.

Next up, the Trojans play the East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC) in a 2A Conference 41 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Chase will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 16-2 record after their 70-57 league win over Brevard (Brevard, NC).
