In Thursday's league outing, the Farrell Steelers (Farrell, PA) basketball squad beat the host Mercer Mustangs (Mercer, PA), by a count of 41-26.

The Steelers (3-9) will now prepare for their outing against Reynolds (Greenville, PA). The Raiders go into the District 10 Region 1 outing with a 4-10 record. In their last outing, Reynolds was topped by Union City (Union City, PA), 37-26, in a non-league outing.

The Mustangs now hold a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to Kennedy Catholic for a District 10 Region 1 outing on Monday, January 23. Mercer will clash with a squad coming off a 56-17 league win over West Middlesex (West Middlesex, PA). The record now stands at 8-4.
