In Thursday's league outing, the Kankakee Kays (Kankakee, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL), by a count of 54-17.

The Kays (10-15) will now prepare for their outing against Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL). The Blazing Trojan go into the Southland outing with a 10-10 record. In their last outing, Bloom was crushed by Thornwood (South Holland, IL), 73-38, in a league outing.

The Wildcats now hold a 2-18 record. They play next when they host Thornridge for a Southland outing on Monday, January 23. Thornton will clash with a Falcons squad coming off a 46-33 league loss to Crete-Monee (Crete, IL). The Falcons record now stands at 3-16.
