The Rock Island Rocks (Rock Island, IL) basketball knocked off the visiting Moline Maroons (Moline, IL), 51-33 in Thursday's league test.
The Rocks (13-10) will now prepare for their test against Loyola Academy (Wilmette, IL). The Ramblers go into the non-league test with a 18-4 record. In their last test, Loyola Academy notched a victory over Fenwick (Oak Park, IL), 47-38, in a league test.
The Maroons now own a 4-17 record. They play next when they travel to Saint Ignatius College Prep for a non-league test on Saturday, January 21. Moline will encounter a Wolfpack squad coming off a 55-43 league win over Mother McAuley (Chicago, IL). The Wolfpack record now stands at 17-4.
