Villa Walsh Academy Vikings (Morristown, NJ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Whippany Park Wildcats (Whippany, NJ), 47-17 in a league bout.

With the victory, Villa Walsh Academy upgrades its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Parsippany (Parsippany, NJ) to play the Redhawks in a non-league bout on Monday, January 23. The Redhawks come into the bout with a record of 7-5. Parsippany lost 59-40 in their recent non-league bout against Vernon (Vernon, NJ)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Dover Tigers (Dover, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 23. Whippany Park will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 0-8 record after their 45-12 league loss to Academy of St. Elizabeth (Convent Station, NJ).
