Middle College Cougars (Los Angeles, CA) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host New West Charter Eagles (Los Angeles, CA), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Cougars confront the Horace Mann UCLA Community Panthers (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 23. Middle College will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Magnolia Science Academy Reseda (Reseda, CA).

The Eagles now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lakeview Charter for a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 21. New West Charter will confront a Lions team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Community Charter (Lakeview Terrace, CA). The Lions record now stands at 4-10.
