In Thursday's league battle, the host Oxnard Yellowjackets soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Pacifica Tritons.
The Yellowjackets (15-2) will now prepare for their battle against Rio Mesa (Oxnard, CA). The Spartans come into the Channel battle with a 2-13 record. In their last battle, Rio Mesa was nudged by Dos Pueblos (Goleta, CA), 4-0, in a league battle.
