The Riverside Rangers (El Paso, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Anthony Wildcats (Anthony, TX), 63-56 in Friday's non-league test.

The Rangers (8-15) will now prepare for their test against Fabens (Fabens, TX). The Wildcats go into the 4A Region I District 2 test with a 1-16 record. In their last test, Fabens was tipped by San Elizario (San Elizario, TX), 50-34, in a league test.

The Wildcats now own a 14-8 record. They play next when they travel to McCamey for a 2A Region I District 6 test on Tuesday, January 23. Anthony will encounter a Badgers squad coming off a 55-28 non-league win over Balmorhea (Balmorhea, TX). The Badgers record now stands at 11-9.
