The Burges Mustangs (El Paso, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Jefferson Silver Foxes (El Paso, TX), 64-39 in Friday's league test.

The Mustangs (8-17) will now prepare for their test against Canutillo (Canutillo, TX). The Eagles go into the 5A Region I District 1 test with a 18-7 record. In their last test, Canutillo was trounced by El Paso (El Paso, TX), 55-51, in a league test.

The Silver Foxes now own a 3-20 record. They play next when they travel to Chapin for a 5A Region I District 1 test on Tuesday, January 23. Jefferson will encounter a Huskies squad coming off a 53-31 league win over Andress (El Paso, TX). The Huskies record now stands at 23-4.
